Our clinic offers two complementary, specialist services under one roof:
Together, these services mean we can help with a wide range of musculoskeletal problems – from a specific shoulder or hand condition to back pain, sports injuries and everyday aches and pains.
It depends on where your problem is:
If you’re not sure which is right for you – or your problem involves more than one area – just contact us and we’ll happily point you in the right direction before you book.
For private (self-funded) appointments:
Please note: if you’re using private health insurance, your appointment times will usually be shorter than our standard private appointments, and the exact length can vary depending on your insurer and policy. Because of this, we’d always recommend checking the details with us and with your insurer when you book, so you know exactly what to expect.
This varies from person to person – it depends on your condition, how long you’ve had it, how your body responds to treatment, and your own goals for recovery. Some people feel a real difference after just one or two sessions, while longer-standing or more complex problems usually take a longer course of treatment.
Rather than giving a one-size-fits-all answer, we’ll assess you properly at your first appointment and give you an honest idea of what to expect – including roughly how many sessions you’re likely to need and how often. We’ll always keep this under review as you progress, and our aim is to get you better as efficiently as possible.
Yes to both. There’s plenty of free parking available at the clinic, so you can park easily and stress-free for your appointment. If you prefer to cycle, you’re welcome to bring your bike inside and leave it safely in the clinic while you’re seen.
Yes. The building and clinic are wheelchair accessible, and there are accessible toilet facilities available.
Please note that our team isn’t able to physically lift or transfer patients onto the treatment table, so if you’d need assistance with this, please bring someone who can help, and do get in touch before your visit so we can make sure we’re set up to support you as best we can.
If you have any other access needs or questions, please contact us ahead of your appointment – we’re always happy to help where we can.
Absolutely. We’re proud to be an LGBTQ+ friendly and gender-affirmative clinic, and we have gender-neutral toilet facilities. Everyone is welcome here, whatever your background, ethnicity, faith, age, disability or body shape and size – you can expect to be treated with respect, dignity and genuine care, exactly as you are.
We want every visit to feel comfortable. You’re welcome to bring a chaperone with you to your appointment if you’d like one. We’re also happy to make adjustments for neurodivergent patients on request – so if there’s anything that would make your visit easier, including how you’d like to be addressed, just let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
For private (self-funded) appointments, our fees are:
Payment is taken by card at the time of your appointment.
Using private health insurance? We’re registered with several major insurers, and can provide invoices for others so you can claim back the cost. Insurance cover varies between policies, so please check with your insurer before booking to confirm your treatment is covered – in some cases you may need to pay for your appointment and claim the cost back yourself. If you’re at all unsure, get in touch and we’ll help where we can.

As a competitive swimmer I was referred to Minal by a consultant and she has been brilliant ever since. I have had a few different versions of a shoulder injury, and every time she is able to spot exactly the problem, and give me exercises to address it. She also uses dry needling to address muscle tightness, and this has fixed many flare ups. I have recommended Minal to all my teammates and friends, and wouldn’t see anyone else now!Posted on Google IvoneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend Minal! From the very first session, she was incredibly kind, caring, and genuinely compassionate. She takes the time to really listen, understand my concerns, and tailor each session to exactly what I need. What truly sets her apart is her encouragement and positivity. On days when progress felt slow, she always found a way to motivate me and remind me how far I’d come. Her reassurance and belief in my recovery made such a difference, not just physically but mentally as well. Thanks to her expertise and consistent support, I’ve seen a huge improvement in my strength, movement, and confidence. I’m so grateful for the impact she’s had on my recovery journey. If you’re looking for a physiotherapist who truly cares and goes above and beyond for her patients, I wholeheartedly recommend Minal.Posted on Google Claire GardinerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was given such a warm welcome from the moment I walked into the Health Grove Clinic from the lovely girls on reception and Minal. The waiting area was spotless and comfortable. I would highly recommend Minal for physio and acupuncture. Her quality and care really stood out for me and expertise.Posted on Google Liz da LuzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Watching my mother go through physiotherapy, I honestly can’t put into words how grateful I am for the care she has received. From the very beginning Minal has been kind, patient, and incredibly compassionate. Minal treats my mother with such warmth and respect, always taking the time to listen and make her feel comfortable and understood. What stands out most is how motivating Minal is. Recovery hasn’t always been easy, but she constantly encourages my mother, celebrates every bit of progress, and gently pushes her to keep going when things feel tough. You can see how much she genuinely cares, not just about the physical improvement, but about my mother’s overall wellbeing and confidence. The difference in my mother since starting treatment has been remarkable. She’s stronger, more mobile, and so much more positive. As a family member, it’s reassuring to know she’s in such capable and compassionate hands. Minal has made a huge impact on her recovery, and we are truly thankful for everything she has done.Posted on Google Lesley RidgwayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Following carpal tunnel surgery and trigger finger release surgery I was fortunate enough to have a very constructive and helpful physio session with Ms Minal Desai, a specialist hand therapist. Minal was very kind and gentle and exceedingly informative about the correct exercises to do going forward. A lovely lady, thank you Minal.Posted on Google Clare Young (UK)Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Minal was brilliant. I thought my shoulder was damaged for life. Minal identified the problem, released the muscle, showed me exercises. It was so much better after week 1. Week 2 Minal showed me that I could make fast movements without pain. Since then Ive been using my shoulder normally and building strength.Posted on Google Mehul KapadiaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Exceptional care and attention! I visited them for elbow joint pain. Ms. Desai was extremely methodical in understanding the issues, related very well to my lifestyle, sports, gym habits and then did a very structured mix of physio and acupuncture treatment. Within one treatment I got substantial relief and then within 3 sessions had reached a point of total relief. I would highly recommend. I have saved the contact details on my mobile to ensure that this is my first call if ever I needed a physio treatment!Posted on Google Gary LeggTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Minal has been great in trying to resolve my issues and always explains treatments clearly with achievable exercises to do post session.Posted on Google jennifer johnTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Minal has been enormously supportive in helping me recover from my surgery for a replacement shoulder. She takes time to get to know her patients & ensures the treatment is personalised to the individual. I would thoroughly recommend.Posted on Google Gopa DesaiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t recommend Mrs Minal Desai highly enough. After a cycling accident in 2022 that resulted in a shoulder fracture, I was referred to Minal by my orthopaedic surgeon, Mr G Sforza. I had six physiotherapy sessions with her, and the results were excellent. Her treatment approach, clear explanations, tailored exercises, and helpful videos were instrumental in restoring my left shoulder’s range of movement from very poor to normal. She is highly knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly supportive throughout the recovery process. I am extremely grateful to have been under Minal’s care and would strongly recommend her, especially for shoulder and upper body injuries.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
